You couldn't just jump on Youtube to check out a streamer showing off the latest VST.around that time 2010 - 2012ish those type of videos were rare and hard to find. How do I know what I like? Or what will be most useful to me while i'm learning all this crazy shit. the idea of coming up with $1000, that would maaaaybe get you a DAW and a few plugins to mess with, was laughable. Well when you're basically a kid, like I was, fascinated with this whole new world of audio engineering you've just stumbled onto, when your friend down the streets older brother played some shitty beat he made on fruity loops. Back in day ( 2010is) you couldn't always download a trial version for everything like you can now. I've payed for a lot of software and audio gear over the years.But also, you better believe I've "stolen" or Torrented it as well.
